Rumor – leaked GameStop listing confirms Wii U launch titles

DarkZero has posted what appears to be a leaked list of Wii U launch titles. The list is a shot taken of a listing from a GameStop store, ergo the rumor tag we’ve attached to the post. The list is below, and while most games have already been confirmed for the console’s launch period, it’s always good to have your memory refreshed. Assassin’s Creed III, ZombiU, Rayman Legends (TBA), Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, Pikmin 3, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, and others are mentioned specifically.More through here.

Mario, Pikmin, Rayman and ZombiU straight out the gate? That’s a pretty decent launch line-up. Assuming that the Nintendo two make proper use of the Tablet Controller, that could be a very compelling reason to get on board. Nintendo-Land is presumably packed in with the console, right???

Aliens Colonial Marines , a 2013 game for the launch … can you please use your brain? GameStop are stupid they only want preorders.

I see Darksiders II, Mass Effect III and Scribblenauts Unlimited are on there too. They should help bolster the line-up for 1st time HD gamers.

@Wolverine: If you look through the link, you’ll see that it’s “TBA”.

Project P-100 is suspiciously tagged as Launch Window, meaning it will be delayed (hopefully, it could be awesome if they don’t rush it).

@2 While I normally don’t take up for GS, the game was originally slated (after an earlier delay) for fall 2012 until it was announced in May it would slip into 2013. Maybe the list is old then? No idea. Could be a pre-order thing as well.

i will buy this thing day one, i am even saving some wii games i haven´t played yet for it. i hope that i can play a game like donkey kong country returns on the tablet alone, would be sweet….we´ll see.

launch titles i´ll get:

Nintendoland (will be packed, my guess too)
nsmb u
zombi u – can´t wait to play those three games coop
pikmin 3
scribblenauts – if available at launch
probably rayman as well
and project p 100

that´s more than enough for the first 3 month, then i hope for some more fresh killer games.

i still have hopes for a metroid or zelda game of which they are holding back announcement -but which will release in the launch window or soon after…

i´ll get the pro controller too and plan to get into black ops II on a nintendo console…haha, that´s so awesome!

Sorry to burst your bubble but:

Back-compat Wii game will almost certainly only be able to be played with the controller they were originally designed for. Wouldn’t surprise me if Wii games won’t be able to use the WiiU pad or the new pro controller.
There definitely won’t be a new Metroid or Zelda game at launch, Nintendo wouldn’t have announced it as a megaton at E3 if so.
