Windows 8 set to release in late October
Microsoft has announced that Windows 8 is all set to be released in late October along with the Surface.

Tamil Relle, Corporate vice president of Windows, announced this news at the Microsoft’s worldwide partner conference in Toronto earlier today, according to a report by ZDNet.
Manufacturing of the software is scheduled to start from the first week of August, and business users will be getting early access to the final build.
The company demonstrated Windows 8 To Go, a feature which allows users to carry the OS an USB stick and use it on any PC.
Microsoft had announced back in June that the RT version of the Surface will be releasing on the same day as Windows 8, with the delux Windows 8 pro model following suit around 90 days later.
Thanks, Eurogamer.

Sounds good. The release preview has been running really smooth for me. They’ve definitely fixed a lot of bugs (not all) that were in the dev preview.

I’m cautious of Windows 8, and look forward to the mod that removes (or disables) metro for desktop folks. I honestly couldn’t stand the lack of all programs or search being easily accessible. Getting to my folders/my computer is also difficult.
I just want my old start menu back.
