Holy hell, those are some pretty decent scores. I had heard so many bad things about this game that was expecting a huge bomb.

I’ve played the first few hours, and I was expecting 7s. But I’ve watch a few videos on narrative this morning and it looks as though it gets a lot more interesting towards the end.

Hmmm, not bad at all. After the disappointing demo I thought more of a 6 ….

From the information gathered, the trailers watched and after playing the demo, I suspected the game would receive these scores.

I will get it eventually, when I have spare money.

So according to these reviews this game is actually quite decent…interesting.

Colour me surprised… based on the demo I was expecting a bomb. I’ll wait to hear what real people think, if they buy it.

I saw early previews of the game in different sites and i got the feeling it will turn a good game, i did pre order it, glad i did it.

That’s your own hysterical interpretation of what I’m saying. Really, I’m just saying I thought the demo was shit. Any notion of pomposity beyond that is on you. Maybe you just have a problem with other peoples opinions.

In my world, it stands to reason that if a game has pretty shitty gunplay in a demo, then it’ll also feature the exact same shitty gunplay in the finished product, since that will be locked down very early on in the development process.

Considering that most of the game seems to be gunplay and chase scenes, according to these reviews, then it stands to reason that to me, it wouldn’t be very enjoyable.

But that’s just conjecture, and I think that’s pretty obvious.

To be fair, he hit the nail on the head when he said the demo was shit. Because really, it is. There was nothing interesting about it, graphics or game-play wise. And if the demo isn’t selling the game to me, then it’s either a) a shit demo or b) a shit game. Neither one of those is good.

Edit: I would like to hear what owners of the game think of it.

Anyway, seems like normal reviewers, not the biased amateurs that call themselves “critics” (and shame the true critics, by the way), pretty much liked the story and its Apocalypse Now citations…

i didn´t enjoy the demo much, but it is hard to get me excited for a military shooter these days anyway, hell actually i feel like i´ve lost interest in the genre itself…i see they tried to implement some fresh elements in here, but mainly storywise. i doubt that this will be enough. the only shooter i kind of feel excited for is halo 4 atm. and even for halo 4 i cannot feel the same excitement i had for ce,2, 3 or even reach. i am loving halo though.
but: after a hard days work i really do not see myslef playing competitive mp online matches anymore. i love games but i see myself focusing more on games with fun gameplay, engaging stories, challenging puzzles, relaxing games and less violent games.
i really think the shooters these days are targeted to a male audíence from 15 to max 30+ish…i am still in that target audience but i don´t get attracted by most shooter games anymore anyway. it´s sad really.

I’m with DSB on this one. Can hardly see where the 8s and 9ers come from. But as already mentioned, it seems to be a poor demo and or, it gets a lot better after the demo. Gameplay wise I thought it’s not so fresh.

@41 There’s absolutely no doubt that this game doesn’t bring any innovation to the genre, but it appears that the main selling points are the adult-oriented, mature story and the apparently good implementation of the Unreal Engine 3.

Can someone who has this game tell me if it has a “local only” search filter? Keen to buy this but after GRFS I’ll never again buy a game without this option. I’m in Aus. and playing with overseas players is just a lag filled waste of time.
