Rumour: TimeSplitters 4 "seen running" in action

OXM UK sources have said its seen TimeSplitters 4, claiming it'd be also "likely" to see the old games too in some form.

"Trusted OXM sources have claimed that they've seen TimeSplitters 4 running," said the mag in its latest issue (via CVG).

"That's no guarantee that it'll be released - at least one version of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was cancelled without ever being announced - but it's a promising sign."

It added: "If we do get a proper sequel, we're likely to see the old games appear, too."

TimeSplitters 4 has been rumoured for donkeys since Free Radical post-administration was bought by Crytek and renamed Crytek UK. Before entering administration in Christmas 2008, the studio had actually confirmed development on the game.

This is the first time a potential release on the old games - the original TimeSplitters, the classic TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect - has been raised, though.
