Thundercats heading to DS in December

The Thundercats is heading to DS and was shown on the floor during Namco's Global Gamers Day event last week.

The game is in development at Aspect Digital, and the side-scrolling action title will contain levels pulled straight from the cartoon series which dominated televisions from 1985 to1989.

In the game, the Lizard army is heading towards Thundera and King Claudus, Grune, and Tygra have left Lion-O behind to man the fort so to speak as they venture forth into battle.

Grune ends up defecting and Lion-O, with the Sword of Omens, enters the battle and he can call upon the other Thundercats to help him slash up the bad guys.

The game will be released in December for DS.
