Codemaster and Warner Bros join forces

Codemasters has found a new distributing partner, leaving the troubled THQ to cry into its cornflakes.

THQ had handled North and South American distribution of Codemasters' games, as the British publisher's distribution networks don't reach to these territories.

The two companies appear to have fallen out of love with each other now, possibly because of THQ's ongoing financial difficulties.

Gamasutra reports Warner Bros. has stepped up to the plate to take over; the two companies have an existing relationship, as Warner Bros was involved in the European launch of Lord of the Rings Online.

Codemasters-published properties include F1, Dirt, Operation Flashpoint, Fuel and Overlord.
