Junction Point "desperately" wants to do an Epic Mickey HD port

Warren Spector really wants to do an HD conversion of Wii exclusive Epic Mickey, now that the sequel's gone multiplatform.

"I will tell you I desperately want to do it, and other than that I have no comment at this time," Spector told GameInformer at GDC 2012.

“I just think it would be cool for people to see where the story started, so we’ll see. We sold many millions of copies of [Epic Mickey] on just the Wii, and being on the Wii was great. It was a perfect way to reintroduce Mickey as a hero in video games."

I'm not sure if it makes an HD port more or less likely, but in a Gamesradar preview, Junction Point revealed that the Wii is the lead platform for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, suggesting Disney is still firmly committed to the platform despite the sequel's release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in northern autumn.

A 3DS spin off is also expected.
