GAME will not stock Ubisoft PlayStation Vita launch titles tonight, VG247 has learnt.

UK retailer GAME has confirmed to VG247 that it will not stock Ubisoft’s Vita launch titles tonight.

“At this time we will not be selling the following Ubisoft titles; Lumines Electronic Symphony, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Rayman Origins, Asphalt Injection and Dungeon Hunter Alliance,” the chain said in a statement.

“All customers affected by this decision have been made aware of the situation and we will continue to communicate any updates to customers through our Twitter and Facebook feeds.”

A rep couldn’t confirm a specific reason for not stocking the games. Vita titles from Sony, EA, Codemasters, Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega will be available in GAME stores from midnight.

Ubisoft has declined to comment on the matter.

Concerns regarding GAME were raised after recent troubles with its ability to raise credit insurance and acquire new stock.

In the wake of the revelation, GAME said it may sell its international arm.

PlayStation Vita launches in the US and Europe at midnight tonight.

So GAME won’t be stocking the two highest rated Vita titles at launch?

    Nice. :\

It’s ridiculous – they’re not stocking BlazBlue either, which I went to go and check out this lunchtime – which is the third rated Vita Launch title.

So basically, three out of the four games I want to buy at launch I can’t buy in the UK’s leading game retailer.

Which is why my money is going to Amazon (again) instead.

GAME @ Westfield Stratford were still taking preorders this evening, and had the games on display. Rayman was even included in the £25-with-console deal.

@2 buy from somewhere else? I don’t see the ‘big’ deal over this… There are so many places you could buy those games from….

Best meta critic doesn’t make for big sales now does it? This is hardly news…. Rahman Origins didn’t do amazingly on the big consoles and Lumines didn’t sell on the original PSP so what’s the big deal?

If it was Uncharted they weren’t stocking then hold the phone.
