Giant news for Skylander lovers lands with domain registrations
Internet sleuths have uncovered what may be clues to the next Skylanders game.
Some rather excellent detective work performed by Fusible has uncovered that MarkMonitor (a well known brand and domain management service, and which has handled Activision domain management in the past) has recently registered a whole gamut of rather interesting web addresses:
Whilst nothing online is ever written in stone, the registration of these domains certainly indicate a clear direction for (at least) the name for a new title release. In addition, it provides us a rather interesting avenue for speculation on just what that would entail within the Skylander worldframe – larger toys perhaps?
Spyro is very close to being a household name in many homes sporting a console, and some concerns were initially raised by beloved fans when the concept of Skylanders first surfaced. However, the title flew quite well – both as a game and off the shelves – and many have been waiting eagerly for news on just what is next for the purple dragon and portal drawn friends.
The first Skylanders game, “Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure” combines a video game with a range of interactive toys, focused on the very popular Spyro character, released in October 2011 for PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
