LittleBigPlanet notches up 6 million custom levels

Media Molecule's three LittleBigPlanet games have together marked a significant milestone.

Users have created over 6 million levels for LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2 and LittleBigPlanet PSP using the games' built-in UGC tools.

According to the developer, 2.5 million of those were built in the year since LittleBigPlanet 2's release.

Up to 40,000 levels are created each week using the two core PlayStation 3 games.

LittleBigPlanet is the flagship title of Sony's Play.Create.Share banner, which also includes ModNation Racers and InFamous 2. A Vita version of the popular platformer is expected at launch.

Thanks, Shack.
