GameFly PC now in open beta

GameFly announced today that its PC service (powered by their acquisition of Direct2Drive) has entered open beta today. Along with selling digital copies of PC games, the service also includes an Unlimited PC Play section with hundreds of games to choose from.

GameFly says they have about 1500 games to purchase, and the Unlimited section boasts a fairly large selection as well with some older games like the original Red Faction, newer games like Saints Row 2, and plenty of dreck.

"We are thrilled to finally be able to open up the beta so anyone interested in video games can start using the client, and we are hard at work expanding our catalog of PC titles for our users to play for free in the Unlimited PC Play section," said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and SVP of Business Development and Content.
