Ubisoft: AC Revelations PC to ship without always-on DRM
Ubisoft’s confirmed to RPS it will ship the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations without the publisher’s always-on DRM.

The company has had the controversial system in most of the games its published since it was first introduced in early 2010 with the exception of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood in March.
But the publisher’s confirmed it’ll also avoid introducing it for Revelations. This year, the DRM’s been in titles like Driver: San Francisco and From Dust.
Revelations launches on PC on December 2, two weeks after its console launch next week. Here’s its launch trailer.

That’s nice, but I can’t rule out them being full of shit, since we were lied to about the DRM for both Driver and From Dust at one time or another.

Good to hear havent purchased an Ubisoft game for ages. Avoided every one with always online DRM. Got Assasins Creed 2 during the Steam summer sale though and only because the DRM was removed

Looking at the crappy Anno 2070 demo, it appears to require always online DRM in the game. This may change but unlikely.

I still find it hard to believe that the PC version is coming out just two weeks after the console release… instead of the usual 4-5 months! Thanks, Ubi.
