Modern Warfare 3 UK launch to be streamed online

Activision’s announced it’s to stream tonight’s UK launch party of Modern Warfare 3 live online.

The event will be streamed on YouTube here, and will be presented by three people: Xbox Live’s Graeme ‘AceyBongos’ Boyd, TV presenter Rick Edwards and YouTube “super user” DaveyBoyz.

The event will have interviews from celebrities, as well as Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward, performances from Example, pan-European MW3 tournaments for pro and celeb players, COD XP runners-up from the pro competition Infinity, link-ups to the launches in Paris and Berlin and coverage of the midnight opening.

We’ll stick up the embed nearer the time it goes live. The mega-shooter goes on sale tonight.

Activision has the internet on lockdown!

I can hardly believe that there isn’t a single MW3 review to be seen, anywhere.

Not even from indie sites, and there have been copies in the ‘wild’ for a while now.

Considering it’s out tomorrow the embargo seems to be getting lifted pretty late. Everyone knows what sales and reviews will look like, so what’s with the lack of reviews over the weekend?

Maybe someone forgot to send the “end of embargo” email? :p

It looks like a winner. And I couldn’t be happier. Tuesday should be “Call of Duty Day”. Someone should lobby the UK parliament…. (joking)

Embargo for the past two years typically lifted at 8am GMT on release day. So that’s probably when it’ll lift tomorrow morning, then.

I just read one of the first Modern Warfare 3 reviews @ http://mwarfare3.com . The game sounds like it’s going to be great and I can’t wait to get my hands on it come midnight! I woner if the servers are going to crash because it seems like everyone in the world is getting this game.
