European PSN maintenance on Thursday
Bad news for European Uncharted fans – the PlayStation Network will be taken offline for several hours on Thursday evening.

The downtime is scheduled for 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM BST on Thursday, November 4, although testing maybe keep some services offline after the maintenance window ends.
During the outage players will be unable to sign into the PSN, access the PlyStation Store or account management, and use the PS Sign In on the Sony Entertainment Network.
Players who are already signed in before the downtime begins may find themselves signed out.
No explanation was given for the maintenance time, but the timing is somewhat unfortunate; highly anticipated PS3 exclusive Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception launches on November 2 in Europe, and is intended to be the “go to” for PS3 multiplayer.
Thanks, Eurogamer.

I reckon it’s MW3 related…

Lol, my internet has decided to strike on me anyway. I can connect fine to PSN and download stuff, but playing multiplayer is where it refuses to work. I’ll be busy with the singleplayer anyway.

The timing is indeed harsh… as well as Uncharted 3 launching, DC UO also went free to play as of yesterday night/this morning. It’s not like people need even more reasons not to bother with it.
The time slot they’ve selected is more than a little odd. That’s pretty much core gaming hours for a week night. Start earlier, chaps?
Also, why schedule it around BST, which expired 3 days ago?
