Planning on stocking up on some PlayStation Vita games when the handheld is finally released? We’ve got a sneaky peek at what the boxes will look like, stacked on your shelves.

Kotaku noticed this one lurking surreptitiously at the Sony booth at Tokyo Game Show – it’s a Japanese edition of Uncharted: Golden Abyss for Sony’s latest baby.

But it’s standard size to sit along side your other games/DVD/blurays.

The cases look big,but there’s a comparison gallery on one of the other sites,and the Vita cases are smaller in height than PSP cases and only slightly taller than 3DS cases.

What an awful big box for such a small item. Also, there shouldn’t even be printed manuals anymore as what’s in the manual could easily be in-game.

That image is quite deceptive. It makes the box look a lot bigger than it actually is.

They have the same size ratio of a PS3 box as far as I can tell, they’re barely larger than a DS case standing straight. And they’re slimmer.

Can’t wait for this little beast.
