Trenched to take Iron Brigade rename worldwide

Following a legal battle which continues to delay the game's release in Europe, Double Fine has announced that Trenched will shortly be renamed Iron Brigade.

The global name change was revealed during Whiskey Media's Big Live Show, as reported by XBLA Fans.

A title update will bring the change on the Microsoft-published strategy shooter, which is due to hit Europe before the end of the month.

The patch will also add in some new content - a survival mode, weapons, costumes and gestures.

Double Fine is also preparing DLC for the game, although no dating or details were given.

Iron Brigade, currently know as Trenched, is available now via Xbox Live in the US. Its European release was blocked by a trademark claim for a similarly-named board game.
