Grasshopper’s Lollipop Chainsaw unveiled in Famitsu

The first details of Grasshopper’s first console game after Shadows of the Damned have gotten out via this week’s Famitsu, and the mag’s official site has gone live with screenshots for the game.

Called Lollipop Chainsaw, the game sees you play as zombie hunter Juliet. Currently a student, Juliet is apparently in a long line of zombie hunters. Good thing, then, considering zombies have invaded her school, San Romero High.

Also noted in Famitsu is that when you kill a zombie, the blood splatters are pink, so are her underwear. It’s a poppy thing, apparently.

Kadokawa Games, which were rumored to be involved with the game back in February, will publish the game in Japan for PS3 and 360. No release date, nor is there any mention of a release here in the west.

Shots from Famitsu are posted below, courtesy of Andriasang.

Thanks, Silliconera.

Will the game see you battle your way to becoming the #1 Zombie hunter?

might be worth adding that the awesome akira yamaoka will create the soundtrack (silent hill, shadows of the damned etc.)

Hahaaaaaaaaa, looks like we have another fun shit with a lot of potential here. Hopefully this time graphics and gameplay won’t feel outdated and we’ll have real time cutscenes and some replay value. It hurts in the ass to see a lot of wasted potential like in Shadows of the Damned, which deserved much, much more quality.
