No Dragon Quest X on Wii U
The transcriber responsible for yesterday’s Dragon Quest X on Wii U excitement has issued a correction redacting the story.

Andriasang‘s translation of the correction is very clear on this point:
“Wada was absolutely not saying ‘Dragon Quest X on Wii U,’” the transcriber stated.
Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada apparently said that the company is investigating Wii U launch title possibilities and conducting technical tests in addition to ongoing work on the Wii-bound Dragon Quest X.
Bummer. No release date has been set for Dragon Quest X.
Thanks, GoNintendo.

Dragon Quest X will work on the Wii U, of course. It’s a shame it doesn’t upscale Wii stuff, really.

A the pace of SquareEnix, the Wii (Own) U will release before Dragon Quest X. Also expect Square to announce development of Dragon Quest XI way before DQX is released.
