Microsoft’s released a couple of new Forza Motorsport 4 shots, showcasing the Top Gear test track. The BBC program is set to play a huge part in FM4, with Jeremy Clarkson apparently narrating the car gallery thing you seen during last year’s E3. Get the screens below the break. Forza 4′s out this October for 360.

Gamespot’s got a 24 minute video from E3. There’s some gameplay in there, if you can wade through the gimmicky Auto Vista stuff.

Just seen this too – off-screen gameplay from the Top Gear track in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Honestly does look better than GT5.

I think I’m correct in assuming these are all Replay mode shots. Hence, the greater LOD’s and higher resolution. The same as with GT5 of course.

@4 Definitely looks cleaner and more even. The incredible detail on GT5′s premium cars (interior and exterior) still trumps it for me though. Now if only they’d fix the damn shadows.

GT5 cars looks better still and lightning effects

But I think FM4 has better looking environments. I wish they will fix Nur-Ring and Suzuka, GT5 has it almost nailed down. FM3 not so much

The big question is if they’ll use the in-game car models for replays like GT, or -like FM3- switch to high-rez ones…

#7 check out gameplay video in #1 post, yeah it seems its diffrent then replay or photomode.

GT5 is all the same, only thing in Photomode is more lightning effects and more smoother everything.

    Don’t you mean: “I am a GT5 fanboy for now, until FM4 comes out.. Then I’ll be a FM5 fan, then FM6, and then a GT6 fan.”? ;) :P

Forza will never be as good as GT5, or any future iteration.

Kuwabara you donut. You’re letting your rampant Sony fanboyism colour your opinion. I’ve raced all of my life, from karts up to Formula Ford, and use a G27 for GT5 and unfortunately have to use a MS wheel for Forza, but Forza is still just better than GT5 in pretty much every respect. Better online features and community, better car models, more interesting car line up, better damage and better environments.

With the new features, models and tracks in F4, GT5 will start to seem distinctly shabby. GT5 is car porn of the highest order, and for that and the fact I’ve so much affection for the franchise I’ll always love it, but PD really dropped the ball. Let’s hope they can pick it up again for GT6!
