Dragon’s Crown was once a Dreamcast game
Vanillware has revealed the PS Vita’s Dragon’s Crown is a long-delayed project, originally intended for the Dreamcast.

GameSetWatch reports the side-scrolling action RPG is a spiritual successor to Princess Crown, which appeared on the Saturn in 1997, with a PSP port in 2005.
The sequel was supposed to appear on the Dreamcast, but Vanillaware didn’t get around to it until completing Muramasa on the Wii.
The four-player title has a strong emphasis on co-operative play, and boasts the studio’s traditional approach to lush visuals and tight action – alá Odin Sphere.
Realistic character design? Not so much. Enjoy the trailer, few screens, and collection of artwork below.

Not cool with the large breasted women, it’s an odd choice for Vanillaware who are usually more conservative when it comes to female dimensions.
The day when men stop designing fetishised female characters will be a glorious one.
