Quick Shots - Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning screens bring the colour

I am quite prepared to be surprised and delighted by Kingdoms of Amalur after seeing this batch of assets.

Barely a greyish-black and muddy brown to be seen. Looking at the bold colour schemes in these images, it's hard to believe developer 38 Studios is afraid to break conventions in other areas.

Check out this video of Ken Rolston talking about the game, which has been developed in collaboration with comics legend Todd McFarlane and noted fantasy author R.A. Salvatore.

We're expecting Reckoning in early 2012 - here's hoping we get a good look at it at E3.
