Mortal Komat DLC to be out "within the next month"

Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has said DLC for the game will be released "in the next few weeks."

According to Boon, the DLC will also contain a patch which will add balance changes along with playable character Skarlett.

"We really want to make the patch coincide with the first DLC that's going to come out," he told G4. "So the Skarlett character is going to contain, not only her, but some free stuff and all the patch changes for balancing." When asked for a timeframe, Boon answered, "Certainly within the next month, but the next few weeks I'd say."

Skarlett was added after a glitch in a previous MK game would turn Reptile, Scorpion or Sub-Zero red and also turned some of the female characters red. She was eventually released in Mortal Kombat 3, but was unnamed, so the community called her Skarlett.

On March 27, she was officially announced for MK9 after being outed sometime before that.

No exact date or pricing has been confirmed as of post time.

Thanks, Shack.
