Marvel Super Hero Squad Online is available, free, and adorable

If you can't wait for Marvel Universe Online, why not dip the toe in with the just-released Marvel Super Hero Squad Online?

The browser-based, free to play title has gone live. It's still in beta, but what isn't? Maybe going full release will wipe the comic sans off the site.

Made by Gazillion, the team beavering away on Marvel Universe, Super Hero Squad sees players taking command of chibi versions of favourite heroes, including Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man. You'll recognise it if you played either of the THQ-developed offline titles.

Check out a trailer for it below, thanks to Destructoid.
