Trinigy shows off real-time NGP tech demo

Developer Trinigy has released a one-minute video demoing its Vision game engine for NGP.

A note posted alongside the video on YouTube reads:

“This video shows a scene creating in the Vision Game Engine running in real time on the NGP. The demo is designed to highlight some of the features that will be available on the NGP version of the game engine.”

Including:

  • NGP-specific shader optimizations.
  • Glare effects and postprocessing.
  • Static and dynamic lighting with volumetric lights.
  • NGP-optimized, multi-threaded architecture.

A 2011 US release date for NGP was recently ‘reconfirmed’.

Thanks, Pocket Gamer.

Shit! Colour me impressed, this looks better than most of the old PS360 games & still looks better than some of the low budget games from today.

Who are trinigy?
What other things did they do?
I have to say the truth, i’m not impressed…

@2: yes, ngp is the equivalent of natal.

PS:
i don’t know why this video reminds me of duke nukem 3d, maybe the music, maybe the atomic explosion poster…

The NGP, Android & iOS all have the Unreal Engine, soon Epic will be pushing for it on microwaves & toasters.

I think we can safely say Unreal Engine shits on VGE. Much better technically and artistically from those two demos.

These are the initially announced supported game engines:
* Blitz Games ( BlitzTech )
* Crytek ( CryEngine )
* Epic Games ( Unreal Engine )
* Terminal Reality ( Infernal Engine )
* Trinigy ( Vision Engine )
* Vicious Cycle
Also Rebellion Developments announced that their Asura engine (From Alien vs Predator) is running on it & available for licensing-I actually loved AvP.

Either way it looks like this is gonna be good but wasn;t the psp, graphics were 3 x better than DS and it could play movies and mp3′s and browse internet, really the psp back in 2005 was ahead of most products, if sony get pricing right baring in mind inflation, I bought my psp 1001 for £180 in sep 05, so I would say NGP would be £225-50 and I think it would sell, anyone who doesn’t get one needs to get a decent job.

someone got a copy of that vid?

What i realy realy like on ngp is that touchpad. i realy can be a gamechanger for first or third person games.
think
left analog > movement
right analog > gun
touchpad > sight/head

The most powerful tablet: http://reviews.cnet.com/tablets/asus-eee-slate-ep121/4505-3126_7-34469352.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody;1r
Even the NGP won’t stack up against this little beast, with a processor as powerful as an early Core 2 Duo & Intel HD graphics-It’s capable of playing Crysis on medium settings.

we still debating NGP vs tablet?

is like comparing console vs PC. but more stupid because barely any “real” game is in table. if it is game will play much better on NGP
