First freemium XBLA title inbound - Dungeon Fighter Online

Nexon's multiplayer brawler Dungeon Fighter Online is set for freemium release via Xbox Live Arcade. Fancy.

Like its PC equivalent the XBLA version of the client will be free to download and play, with micro-transactions for power up items bringing in Nexon's pay cheque.

The side-scrolling action game has seen record numbers of concurrent users across China, Korea and Japan, and Siliconera reports the game will be localised in eight languages for its XBLA debut.

Microsoft is lending its language skills to the French, German, Japanese and Spanish versions, while Nexon will handle Chinese, English and Korean.

The console port is being developed by Softmax, of Magna Carta fame, from NeoPie's original offering, and is publisher Nexon's first venture into console-land.
