Swarm to release next week

By Brenna Hillier, Sunday, 13 March 2011 22:54 GMT

HotHead’s Swarm is now triply confirmed for next week’s console network updates.

The Swarm Twitter feed confirmed the game will arrive on the US PlayStation Network on March 22, and Xbox Live Arcade on March 23.

No dating has been confirmed for international networks as yet.

The unusual downloadable title seems to draw inspiration from Pikmin and Overlord, granting the player control of 50 minions – each of which sports its own AI and pathfinding – in order to solve platforming puzzles and collect DNA strands.

Earlier this month, creator Dr Mike revealed the game’s release window, while a partial PSN update list also flagged the now-confirmed date.

Thanks, CVG.
