Free Realms finally hitting PS3 on March 29
SOE has announced that its free-to-play MMO Free Realms will finally land on PS3 this month.
Where else can you hop on the back of a T-Rex and ramble about the countryside discovering strange lands, and collecting goodies as you quest? Maybe in dreams after hitting the hookah a bit.
The game also includes friendly competition with other players, and allows you to go against your pals in kart racing and demolition derbies, soccer matches and pirate ship battles – you name it. It’s there, apparently, along with Flash-based minigames and puzzles.
You can download it via PSN starting March 29 and if you upgrade to a membership, you will get unlimited access to all job levels, as well as additional premium content and features.
As of June last year, the game had over 12 million users.

You should put finally in BOLD because this is ridiculous the game should have been on PS3 ages ago and would have been a great try/use free before you decide to buy future MMORPGs on the PS3.

Well sony must be the supplier of the dope because DC Universe is doing quite well on a console.
There’s just too much content on PlayStation 3 and PSN to even play man.
PS1 classics,HD remakes,PS minis,MOVE,HOME, Free Online MP games,PSN download games, PS3 “EXCLUSIVES” and now PS3 MMORPGs are starting to take off. Happens every generation with PlayStation. They start off slow and by mid life are a digital paradise full with gaming content.
That’s the key to a 10 year life span. All you need is a PS3.

You must have lived in very different generations of the PlayStation than the rest of us. Both the PS21 and PS2 were raging powerhouse giants that tore through the competition on both a content and financial level… right from the get go.

@7 x2. Spot on. This is the very first generation that sony has had decent competition from another console (360). The ps1 and especially the ps2. They were easily the console kings start to finish. I think the only reason sony suffered at the start of this gen was because they got overly ambitious with their architecture and made it a nightmare for developers. As for console value, I think the ps3 is hands down a better value at the same price vs a 360. I hope they keep the ps4 architecture dev friendly but still more ambitious then the competition.

Lets review that again because it seems you idiots didn’t get that the 1st time.

HMMM the PS1 had great launch titles?….I remember 3 or 4 games at best. Tekken, Ridge Racer, and a few more until the second year it got better, then by the 3rd or 4th year the system was an unstoppable force…
HMMM PS2 launch year….Fantavision as a launch title…right thats a wonderful beginning until they next year when Z.O.E. Onimusha, and others came out and by later to mid life was the PlayStation once again an unstoppable force.
See you guys the problem is you think I compare the PS3 to the 360 every fucking statement I make when in fact there’s not a mention about anything 360 in #6. Stop trying to lick my ass clean and hang on every fucking word I say and maybe you can get your head out of your own ass for a minute and analyze what I really meant. The PS3 only had RFOM as the greatest thing to play until Motorstorm and later a few more titles the next year until now its once again an unstoppable force with great exclusive content ranging from PS1 classics, HD remakes, PS minis, HOME, MOVE, PS3 exclusives, and now what seems like it will become a trend are MMORPGs on the console.
None of that shit I said above had any reference to the 360 but a true XBOT can’t help to feel to come in and do damage control because he made a mistake investing a lot of money into a console he can’t even play properly but I’m still on my first PS3. Shut your fucking mouth if you can’t properly analyze what someone means and stop jumping to your own butt hurt conclusions….get a fucking life and stop living on this site when you have your own shit site…..oh and btw

@11 untangle your panties. 5 yrs vs 1 year. It has nothing to do with xbox. Ps 1 and 2 were no different then anyother console launch (excluding nintendo). They all have rocky first years. We where comparing ps to ps, not xbox. The ps3 has taken MUCH longer then its predecessors to gain significant market share from its competitors. You were wrong, get over it. No one was faulting you for loving playstation as we all love it too.
