Ridge Racer Unbounded announced for multiplatforms

Namco has announced Ridge Racer Unbounded for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

A teaser trailer was released for the game earlier today, and the video shows it's being developed by BugBear Entertainment.

The trailer shows Reiko parking her car in a seedy alleyway before exiting the car and hopping into another one. With a wink in the rearview mirror, she excellorates out of the alley, barely missing her own car and speeds out into the city streets causing destruction in the process.

When Eurogamer asked Ridge Racer 3D's director Masamichi Yamazaki about the multiplatform title, he declared his team wasn't involved with the title but was "aware of what its concept is."

"All the Ridge Racers have their own concepts and target audiences," he said. "That is a very different Ridge Racer from this [Ridge Racer 3DS] one. This one is a more rightful successor of the series."

No exact date for the game other than 2012 was revealed.
