Google finally launches Android Market web store

Google has officially launched its Android Market web store, which will allow users to buy and install apps on their phones via the Internet just by signing into their Google account.

The site is similar to iTunes, and offers tons of applications from the Android Market with pages specific to each apps, screens, videos and the prerequisite user ratings.

"No wires, no synching with computers, none of that sort of nonsense," said Android engineering director Chris Yerga. "Everything just works seamlessly syncing between the two."

The currency system for the Market has also been revamped, and instead of using one currency system, users can now view different prices for the international market.

According to TechRadar, in-app purchases are also coming, and will allow app developers to offer upgrades, as well as other products and services from within the actual app.
