In an announcement which has surprised and shocked a total of zero people, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said the company is “developing Pokemon-related” titles for 3DS and Wii.

The news came out of the same investors meeting where a new Kirby title was announced for Wii.

“We are also developing Pokémon related products on the Wii and 3DS,” said Iwata.

“We will gradually over time inform you of them.”

The last Pokemon title, Black and White, sold 5 million units in Japan. It’ll go on sale in the west in March for DS.

Thanks, EG.

I would be shocked if Nintendo would say they wouldn’t be working on something of Pokemon for the 3DS. I was actually surprised that Black and White were coming out for the DS. If you see what they tried to do, with the more 3D enviroment in B&W, then you would expect that would be the reason to launch that game with the 3DS, that would have been sold out worldwide. But noooo. Instead, we are getting “Pilotwings” and “Nintendogs”…..
