Let me clear up the mystery for you. Shit like this is done because 1) It’s fun. 2) Humans like to exercise their imagination & see what can be done. 3) its fun.

Because someone had fun back then (do you remember that one time when…) and now it’s on youtube. very interesting for me who wasn’t there when it happened. My life is now much richer.

I am, and seeing humanity push the boundaries of what can be done is always interesting. It feels like we’re slowing down lately, and regressive attitudes like the one there and one of another commenter I was just particularly irritated at are largely responsible.

We don’t want to go back to the dark ages. They were frightening, disease-riddled places where people lived in fear and committed atrocities to take their minds off their fear. We want to move forward – and that means doing unusual things just to see what can be done, and keeping an open mind.
