Christopher Nolan’s working with a team of collaborators on Inception-based game

Director Christopher Nolan has reiterated the fact he’s currently looking into creating a videogame based on the world of his super-trippy and super-awesome movie, Inception.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly regarding the movie, and the last movie in his Dark Knight trilogy, Nolan said videogames are something he’s wants “to explore” especially a MMORPG based around the Jungian world of Inception.
“I always imagined Inception to be a world where a lot of other stories could take place,” said Nolan. “At the moment, the only direction we’re channeling that is by developing a videogame set in the world.”
Nolan told EW the same thing he told Variety back in September, that a game based on the movie was a “a longer-term proposition” and he’s currently working with a team of collaborators on it.
We’d buy that airline in a heartbeat.

I see in these lines that Stephany is an Inception fangirl.
To be honest it’s a good movie, but very cliche one (especially the ending). I don’t know how you can make a game with the Inception label on it.
Maybe if Quantic Dream will do it, because there are so many genres in Inception that you can’t possibly have so many designers working on one game.

Obviously the WORLD, you don’t want to make a crappy game of such an awesome movie… But trust me, an MMORPG would be a total FAIL. Better something with a new plot (he can let Jonathan do that), I don’t know… Gordon-Levitt as the leading character, coop in a third person shooter in a mix of Metal Gear Solid 4 tactics and depth and Uncharted’s gameplay mechanics. A SIMPLE INCEPTION that turns into an awesome set of adventures, spionage, shootouts, explosions and a lot of drama of course.

@3 This shits been done hmmm? Tell me, how many fps’s, rpg’s, racers & platformers in your games collection? 1 of each? No I’m betting you got a couple of each genre right? Now as games about exploring the subconscious of the human mind are a bit thin on the ground, don’t you think a fresh take on the subject warrants slightly more enthusiasm eh?
By the by, if you liked Inception & are not scared of books, I highly recommend Only Forward by Michael Marshall Smith. Very good

Psychonauts and Inception are both awesome = FACT. Now, if only Double Fine could develop an Inception game…

If Double Fine announced they were making a Inception game, I’d go lay my head on a train track & wait to be woken up
