VGA video contains “Infected” tease, looks like Left 4 Dead
Looks like Valve may be teasing something related to the Left 4 Dead franchise during the VGAs next month.
While looking over the latest commercial for the Video Game Awards, in the “World Premiere” section, it teases not only a football game (NFL Blitz maybe?)and the now infamous BioWare Quickmark, but if you pause the video at 20 seconds in, you will see the image above.
At the bottom of the image, enlarged below, you will see it says 1 of 3.
Could it be an massive update to Left 4 Dead 2? Left 4 Dead 2 on PS3 and something to do with Sony’s “save the date” tease? The announcement of Left 4 Dead 3?
Who knows. It’s Valve after all. Maybe. Maybe not. Watch the video for yourself and check out a larger version of the image below.
We’ve been pondering over it for an hour or more already.
There’s also an analysis video posted by E4GTV at the very bottom, so looks like it’s not only us who think it is L4D-related, along with the rest of the internet.

I don’t know i am sick of waiting HL 3 because god know when it is going to be made and Portal 2 It’s just not my thing.And Left 4 Dead 2 should recive some changes…
I think there is big chance for L4D on PS3.

Sony is teasing a PS3 exclusive, so it’s something else. Probably it’s multiplatform L4D3.
Speaking of L4D2 on PS3… Let’s just say it’s place had been taken by other PS3 zombie games like Dead Nation and Zombie Apocalypse. No chance for good sales of L4D port.

not that many people are gunna buy dead nation it will be like zombie apocalypse no one will buy or will that and just dead nation was a good seller l4d2 on ps3 will be around fall 2011

Hmm, PS3 spin-off, or possibly full pledged sequel? May not even be L4D, guess we’ll have to wait to find out. But i think 12 maybe right, i remember seeing something similur in Dead Rising 2…

A few things.
1) The ‘latest commercial’ link goes to a 2007 promo.
2) The design doesn’t really look L4Dish.
3) If it were Left4Dead on PS3, how would that be an exclusive?
4) If it’s a new Zombie IP they have SERIOUSLY missed the gravy train on this one… Zombie stuff is becoming old hat, fast!

This’ll have nothing to do with the game Sony are going to show btw. This’ll be at the VGA’s, the game Sony are going to show will be revealed the day after.
