Rumour – GT5 gets two day delay in Europe

gt55

Don’t go into a massive anger mode. Yet.

A week to the day before it finally launches worldwide, various EU PlayStation web portals have updated the date of Gran Turismo 5 to November 26 from November 24.

After a previous worldwide delay from the first week of November, Sony finally announced last week it had dated the Polyphony racer for November 24 worldwide.

The changes were spotted on the Danish and French PS websites. The UK portal currently still shows the November 24 date.

We’ll email SCEE right now.

Thanks, TSA.

I think it’s just a site error. Nobody uses that official sony website for reliable info anyway.

I trust in Polyphony Digital & game shopping sites.

@2 I wouldn’t exactly write it off, though. If I remember right, those PS portals had the November 24 date down days before the announcement was made

Why would the game be out on a Wednesday in the UK anyway?

Actually I would guess it applies to specific countries as rather than an entire Europe thing. I’m pretty sure Germany’s getting it on the same day as us.

The more interesting thing is they’ve got new Terms of Services which I had to accept before I logged into the PSN today. No update or anything just new ToS and since I don’t remember the old ToS I believe this is to ‘catch’ modded consoles. I’m guessing if they detect you downgrade (which they probably can) they’ll just ban you from PSN [there seemed to be a lot of stuff about using unauthorised purchased stuff (a lot of on the video side too).
Regardless, shouldn’t come as a problem to most people really :)

The correct release date for the UK is 24th-26th, depending on when your store has it in stock.

I am fairly certain the Danish and French sections were just casualties of a change of the british date.

Yep
my local site says 26th also. Sony won’t even make an official statement they know it’s so ridiculous how much they’ve messed up this launch!
