EA has had “exposure” to PSP2, says Soderlund

EA Europe VP Patrick Soderlund has hinted the publisher has seen PSP2, saying it’s had “exposure” to the machine.

Well, obviously as a developer we have had that – but I’m not allowed to talk about it,” Soderlund told CVG.

We can’t talk about it because of our relationship with Sony obviously, which is… That’s just the way it is,” he added.

Soderlund’s comments are the latest to burn towards the PSP2 fire, but isn’t the first dev source to come out and mention PSP2.

We are looking at [PSP and DS]; we have a PSP2 in the house and we’re looking at the engine, like what can it support,” Netherrealm Studios Shaun Himmerick said back in September.

Last week, it was reported that PSP2′s screen is bigger then the present model, uses memory sticks, has twice the RAM of an Xbox 360 and more.

VG247 has been told by sources that the machine, codenamed Veta, will be released in Holiday 2011.

I have a feeling, now it’s pretty much open knowledge, we’ll see it sooner then later.
