Shadows of the Damned video is short and creepy

shadowsofthedamned

Let the bloodbath begin…..

EA and Grasshopper Manufacture released a short video for Shadows of the Damned today, and it’s posted below.

Basically it just shows monsters, our protagonist’s awesome skull adorned shotgun, and some White Zombie-esque music playing in the background.

It’s just enough to get your mouth wet for a game that’s not even suppose to be out until summer 2011, Suda you tease.

Enjoy it anyway, just don’t blink.

I’m not sure about this game. It looks a bit dated when compared to the quality of games coming out these days. Production values (just from the trailers I’ve seen) appear to be sub-standard….guess we’ll wait and see.

Too generic and dated. Seriously, this game needs something special.

@above posters.

the game is not even half way done yet:/ So ofcourse it looks generic, and outdated.

It’s meant to be scary but to me looks more like more action than horror.

@4 No. It originally slated for PC and Wii as well as 360 and PS3. But not anymore apparently.

I’m disappointed that no new music from Akira was included in this trailer :(

And for those who are complaining this games looks outdated and crap -

A) You’re basing your judgments on some a couple of minutes of gameplay, which was most likely taken from an older build of the game and was most likely rushed.
B) Look at the other games Suda has been behind. They all look like pieces of shit until you manage to get your hands on them and play them.

This is the first title that Grasshopper have ever made for a next Gen console. Its using Unreal aswell, something they have never worked with before.

Grasshopper are a really small developer over-flowing with ideas, sometimes they just don’t have the funds to realise all of them. I can see the samething happening here, you either get on with the game and enjoy it or cry about it looking dated.

I’ll be needing this when it’s ready.
