Android Market now has 100K apps available for users

android

Android users should be pleased to know their phone system of choice now has 100,000 different apps to choose from over on the Android Market.

The 100k milestone means Android is catching up quickly with Apple’s 300K offerings.

Google hasn’t formally announced the good news yet, instead choosing to tweet the milestone via its AndroidDev Twitter account – using the web instead of an Android capable phone, strangely enough.

Thanks, BGR.

And 90,000 of them are wallpaper and ring-tones links.

And it has the same problem as the iPhone App store. Only about 50 are decent, the rest are utter jelly.

app store has five times as many decent ones, Android market is flooded with crap. their return policy is bollocks as well.

Yeah, I’m sure you’ve got figures on that and didn’t pull it out of your ass.

ha ha.. it’s a generalization, but so is saying that any amount of apps are worth it.

it has better publisher support. there’re only a few decent indie apps. so the marketplaces really are uncomparable.
