Martin’s is a good ‘un, indeed. He’s a rare reviewer, thorough without getting bogged down.

Finished the campaign. 4+ hours.

First Part of the campaign is the most interesting one.
Next two days (two acts) is just bollocks and clusterfuckness.

and i never died in all campaign (Played on the hardest difficulty). It’s fucking easy. AI don’t know how to shoot at all.

I don’t know… Danger Close should make Army Of Two or something. Singleplayer is a bad joke. A standard FPS with few interesting moments.

Need to check Multiplayer, but i’m affraid that nothing changed since Beta… Oh man…

I hope Black Ops will do it right.

Yeah, that was a good tip mathare. That review was about 2 pages longer than anything I’d normally read through, but it was really good.

For now, Black Ops looks nothing special, but i always hope that i’m wrong and that game will rock my socks. Who knows.

7/10 from Edge. Guess that answers the ‘will they delay it to play the online modes’ question.

Stupid game. Lol 4-5 hours to beat it…very nice.

Woop di Doop, shit hit the fan and you are wrong again. I enjoyed Bioshock 1 a lot, especially it’s setting, atmosphere and story.

and i’m a big fan of Metal Gear Solid or especially STALKER (Stalker is a good example), but you don’t know what it is, so… don’t even fuck with me when you will talk something about immersion, setting and story.

PC is not teh best evar, if it was TEH best EVAR i could enjoy platform exclusives like it was before. Everyone understand that PC as a platform is weak right now, although mouse, great graphics, great MMO’s, cheaper games, better servicesm true HD are always with me. When i say in certain threads that “PC FTW!” than it is indeed better suitable for PC experience in my opinion/Experience or whatever. It’s not a “BDH fanboyism” here.

@83: Lol, I’m a huge MGS Fan, hell i even got an autograph from Hideo and Shinkawa and I’m also a huge Stalker fan. So i don’t understand how you can miss the immersion. The atmosphere of the game is fantastic.

However. You were right about the 4+ hours. I played it for 2 hours when i wrote my comment. There was no end in sight, so i figured that others would’ve had rushed through it. Needless to say that i didn’t see the end coming. There was no real story to tell at all. Some minor subplot with a general who fucks up shit.

I could never figure out who’s is who in the game. Most of the Army soldiers have a brickface, with no personality at all.

The only one who stood out was … that one guy with his FDNY Cap. But i don’t remember his name. Something with D?

Anyway, while the experience was fantastic, it was too short. And this is it’s biggest problem. There there no camaraderie moments in the game. Something that would help us getting to know these guys. They should have made some cutscenes, tell the whole thing from your characters perspective. A real narrative. Like Brothers in Arms. That’s what i was expecting. But that never happened. I don’t know jackshit about my team. The only thing i know about anyone is rabbit. He likes music from Hindu Kush. And that he got 5 kids, which is why they call him rabbit. But that was mentioned by the developers and nowhere else. And this is why SPOILER his death wasn’t tragic at all /SPOILER.

What i really like is that the talk in complete military style. With this, they show exactly who it is they want to approach: Soldiers.

Also: After playing through the story, the name “OpFor” makes more sense.
