Ubisoft has confirmed a Prince of Persia HD collection will hit PS3, after being long rumored and outed by numerous retailers.

According to various sources, the PS3-exclusive collection will include PoP: The Sands of Time, PoP: Warrior Within and PoP: The Two Thrones on one Blu-ray disc with 3D enabled.

It’s slated to hit Europe on November 19 for £29.99.

Sorry US, it’s a European-exclusive.

All three titles will be fully remastered in 720p and the game disc will hit around the 30-hour gameplay mark.

Thanks, TomisH.

Warrior Within in HD, widescreen, with trophies? It’s a deal, Ubisoft.

Nah man, click on the image – it’s 1024×768, the PS2 rendered at 640×480. It’s also got way too much anti-aliasing going on to be a PS2 shot, regardless of what Gamespot says.

Isnt PS3 region free? wouldnt it work on a US PS3 if a US gamer wanted it bad enough to buy the European version?
Either way, it doesnt matter to me. I didnt enjoy any of the POP games except for Sands of Time. The new one was cool i guess but the stroy was wacktastic

    @10 its 790×593
Could be a stretched 480 picture though *looks at all the pixels and fuzz*

@2 It’s 720p – and yes, redone all the way: anti aliasing and textures too apparently.

I’m just waiting on official word on all that info before adding it in is all.

    I thought so. Thanks.

It will certainly cost more though im sure. Not just in shipping and handling but in the generally higher prices of European items over US dollars.

Wait I thought the region code for ps3 and europe are different and the region codes for us and japan are the same?

  18. Gekidami

All PS3 games are region free.

  19. lexph3re

Are the updates region free? Because I’ve been debating on buying ToV for ps3 and I heard it had a patch for the english dubs

  20. Gekidami

Yeah, but Tales of Vesperia getting English dubs patched into it is news to me…

That’s why I’ve been looking online for people who have already purchased it so I don’t make the mistake of going off of rumors. It appears no one is willing to findout and for 100 usd I’m not so sure I’m willing to find out.lol

    Ahhhh!!! I’m still excited.

    Chaos Theory!

Wish it were properly remade. If I ever become a game designer, I will somehow, remake Chaos Theory.

@22 Fuck that would be awesome. One of my favourite PS2 games EVER, and the best SC.

Seriously, I am very very happy!

I actually love HD remakes, I feel so guilty for loving them, but there are such great games from the past, that I wish were made this generation, for the fidelity.

@23 That was an awesome soundtrack. I’ve got Chaos Theory on Steam, I might go play it again :P.

Fuckin’ shit, I want this for US…importing is too damn expensive. So damn angry right now… I’ve been waiting for this and now “EUROPE ONLY”, fuck you, Ubisoft.

  29. Blerk

Weird. Why go to the trouble if you’re only going to release it on a single platform and in a single region?

    How bizarre!

    #29 4 years ago
  30. Kaufer

@29 Probably because they are guaging the market HD ports.
And its not like the original PoP games were as popular as GoW in the PS2 days.

Its suspect that Ubi only announced this with a little over a month before it goes on sale. Quick cash-in for the holidays?

    #30 4 years ago
  31. Blerk

‘Quick cash-in’ seems about right looking at the screenies. They’re… not very attractive.

Sands of Time is still a superb game, though. If anyone on Earth still hasn’t played it then they could do worse than picking this up once it hits the bargain bins.
