PS3 Firmware 3.50 is live, adds 3D Blu-ray support and more
PS3 Firmware 3.50 is now available for download, meaning if you own a PS3 and a 3D TV you can now enjoy your very own 3D Blu-Ray player.
The main feature of the update is the addition of 3D blu-ray playback for PS3.
However, a lot of other nifty changes have also been introduced through this update, like the ability to use Move as a web browser cursor and a new XBM-based grief reporting system.

Powered off randomly mid install, now it thinks it has the latest but I can’t access the store or the account management settings. Hard to find info about reinstalling the update.

What about Netfilx w/o the need for the netflix disc? XB360 has it built into the browser, I heard PS3 was going to offer the samething this fall….any word on that?

^ If i recall MS has a contract for non-disc exclusivity, or something like that. They have to wait till the deal ends.

They should really go all out and do a 4.0 update next.

OMG !!!
Just updated to 3.5. After the update the PSN-store is no longer available!
When trying to startup the store, I get a warning dialog which states that the store is not available in my country (Switzerland). WTF ???

PSN is going through maintenance, thus some people will have trouble logging in and be unable to access Account Management/the Store.
Everything should be working fine again in 5 hours.
