Capcom announced two more characters for Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds at TGS this week, and the fellas are none other than Spider-Man and Wesker.

This is the first time Wesker has appeared in a MvC game, but it’s old-hat by now to Spidey.

You can see both do some damage in the videos posted below, courtesy of GameSpot.

In another video posted below, you get to see D’toid’s hands-on with the title.

There’s even some nasty Lickers present in the Resident Evil level of the game.

X-23 and Tron were announced for the game earlier in the week.

Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is out during spring 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

WOW first X-23 and now Wesker my picks are actually coming true! and it’ll be sin not to include Spider Man.

Awesome!!! Day1 buy now and i already know who my 2 of my picks are going to be, Spiderman and Wesker. Now, lets see if they announce anybody else that i might want to play as, if not, ill make wolverine my 3rd character.

1 thing though. They seem to have slowed down spidey quite a bit. He was the fastest character in part 1 and the 3rd fastest in Part 2….i wonder why they slowed him down. Hopefully its to strengthen him up a bit. Compare there original format (comics, mangas, cartoons, and games) Spiderman is 1 of the most powerful(well rounded). He is the strongest (only 2nd to Hulk and maybe Dante), and he is the fastest (only 2nd to Wesker) the fastest. I am such a Super Hero/Super Power nerd lol.

Spidey is strong and too often underestimated in that department , but he is hardly second to hulk .

I think , if respecting that kind of thing was the issue , he should just hit harder than the likes of Cap , Chris , ryu , joe etc .

thats kinda what i was trying to say. He isnt anywhere near Hulks stregth BUT he is stronger than the other characters in the game, especially CAP as his strength is only peak human (1,000 lbs press). Spiderman has defeated Juggernaut and he has beat the crap out of Hulk before. He has held up an entire subway station and has also held up the Daily Bugle from the base while everybody got out.
Hulk starts off at a 100ton strength level and gets stonger as he gets angry.
Spiderman tops out at 15-20 tons.

    wow these guys are retarded!
They are milking their franchise, no let’s say character franchise to death!

Capcom are over marketing their IP and it will lead to their doom!

Why Wesker? he was already in Lost Planet 2.
This is a sign that Capcom seriously needs new IP so bad!

Spiderman again!? so basically this is Marvel vs Capcom 2 with better graphics.

@5 If I may take a moment to prove just how sadly nerdy I am, Spider-Man’s strength levels have always been ambiguously applied at best.

There’s been a few occasions where he’s held up things that would be implausible even for him, your example of holding up the entire Daily Bugle probably being the most obvious and far-fetched.

The most embarrassing example of this is the recent OMIT series, where he was knocked out cold because some fat guy fell on him! I kid you not.

It’s not exactly what one would call consistent.

@6 The whole point of the game is brand promotion. I don’t think they ever claimed it was going to be more than MvC2 with better graphics, which quite frankly is exactly what most of us want anyway.

@6 eh… what did you think? that capcom and marvel will invent new characters for this game? are you serious? besides, they have already changed the mechanics of this game for faster action etc.
I don’t think it’s just an graphic update.

PS: No SpiderMan = no sales in US (:D)
