Dead Rising 2 Zombrex Edition heading to North America

Last week, Capcom announced the Outbreak Edition of Dead Rising 2 for Europe, and promised an equally special edition would hit North America.

Today, the firm made good on its promise by announcing the Zombrex Edition.

Exclusive for North America,  the Dead Rising 2 Zombrex Edition for Xbox 360 and PS3 will run you $79.99.

In it, you get a two-disc Steelbook case with its own special pack front, collectible items and additional content.

There are some variations between the two editions,though, and these are detailed in the following lists:

PS3 Dead Rising 2 – Zombrex Edition

  • Blu-Ray Disc featuring a High-Definition 24 minute “Making of” featurette

Both the Zombrex and regular retail editions will be made available on September 28, with the Outbreak and normal European editions hitting October 1.

    going by what i can see you get more for your money with the 360 version? but if i was american i’d still go the ps3 version, i ain’t paying to play online.

    yeah thats one thing i really hate about ‘editions’ of this gen, if a game has content exclusive to one format fine thats ok, but why restrict content on the bloody ‘editions’ its like you have the money to spend on it and the company says but this edition is better.

    I think ‘editions’ should have the same content on all formats and if theres any exclusive stuff make that effect both normal and ‘editions’ and not on either of the competitors editions. in other words if its extra levels have them on both normal and edition versions of a game, dont just restrict it to the edition of one console, thats just being a twat in my eyes.

    I’m confused, seems like a huge waste of a disc just to put 24 minutes of HD footage on a bluray disc.

    Wait wait wait…. So they are putting more on the disc with a very limited amount of space, as to a blue ray disc?
