Twisted Metal won’t support 3D or PS Move

Eat, Sleep, Play boss David Jaffe has said that Twisted Metal will not be supporting 3D and is unlikely to support PlayStation Move.
Speaking on Twitter after the game’s E3 reveal, Jaffe said: “3D has to be 60 frames and we are not. We are gonna be rock solid stable but not 60. Move and Twisted don’t seem a great fit.”
The new Twisted Metal was shown during Sony’s E3 press conference, and Jaffe said yesterday it has been in development for around 18 months.
Twisted Metal is due to release in February 2011, exclusively to PS3. Move releases later this year.

good, focus on the game and don’t try to foce these things in it.
But i reckon sony should fuck the 3d in the bin, 3d tv’s aren’t going to come into mass market for another couple years and i don’t think it’s practical to have everyone wearing 100 euro glasses either.

Good news, I dont want my games crippled because half the dev time is taken up accomodating technologies I’ll never use.
Shame it’s not 60fps though, with the somewhat low standard of graphics being shown I’d expect a rock-solid 60.

@3 how many developers do you know that talk to their fans and answer their question via twitter?

It is going to support 4 player split screen too – which may explain some of the roughness. The size and complexity of the environments – collapsing elements etc. Are probably fairly pertinent to the end result too.

good. 3D will take some time to be in every console houshold
concentrate more on the gameplay… and 4player splitscreen
need one more controller for the full canrage
