Rockstar to have no “presence” at E3 [Update]
Update: Take-Two has “reconfirmed” tonight during it’s financial call to investors that Rockstar will not have a presence at E3 this year – just in case you were holding out hope or something.
Original: We’ve just been told that Rockstar will have no “presence” at this year’s E3.
A Rockstar rep told us that the company has decided that LA Noire and Max Payne 3 are to be shown outside the LA event at a later date.
The news comes after it was tweeted by a UK journalist this morning that a Rockstar game “launch” had been pulled from E3.
Rumour instantly pointed to a cancelled GTA V or Agent reveal.
E3 takes place on the week commencing June 14.

It doesn’t mean Sony or MS won’t announce GTA V or Sony to show off Agent though.

Exactly. Im positive Sony will show off Agent. Just because they aren’t there, doesn’t mean their games won’t be in some way or another.
It takes time and effort getting together a booth, showing the games, getting people down to LA etc, where as handing Sony some footage of a game could be done.

@3 I totally agree with you.
R* can say whatever they want, but Agent is a joint exclusive with Sony intertwined with some sort of financial incentive.
If Sony want to show it, they *Will* show it.

Plus it’s worth remembering MS announced GTA4, but didn’t show any footage or anything.

If i were Sony i would not show Agent at this E3 and they will probably going to do that anyway.
Maybe a trailer, but thats just it.
