Jem Alexander leaves SCEE

Jem Alexander has announced he has left his role as Social Media Manager for PlayStation in Europe.
Alexander, who managed the ins and outs of the EU PS Blog since Gamescom last year as well as being ex-staff of Joystiq, left a few leaving words on the blog.
“Well guys, it’s been an amazing ride, but my time at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has now come to an end,” he said.
“Since I started here last year — the week before gamescom, where we announced the PS3 Slim, no less — it’s been my absolute pleasure to bring you the latest news from within the company, as well as from our third party partners. Since then we’ve announced and released some amazing games.”
He went on to add: “As many of you know I was a blogger at Joystiq before I came here. I love games (I think that’s obvious), and I love talking, reading and writing about them. Although I’m moving on from the PlayStation.Blog, I won’t be moving on from that interest and I’m sure you’ll see me around.”
You can catch his full post here.
Good luck to you, Jem.

Good luck to Jem, had a nice chat with him at the MAG event and he was always very helpful.
I’m sure he will move on to a excellent role somewhere.

Sound bloke from the conversations I’ve had with him on Twitter.
Hope I get to meet you in Cologne for Gamescom if you’re coming, mate.

I often followed Jem’s contributions at PS3Fanboy.com, but his enthusiasm in the video within this recent blog post was perhaps demonstrating his commitment to his position:

Note that he did not respond to the comments in the blog, a colleague did.
We’ll no doubt see him again (soon); perhaps not at VG247.com, but at another forefront of gaming news.
BFN,
