Modern Warfare 2 title update is now live [Update]
Update 2: The matchmaking issue is now fixed per The Major. Get to getting it.
Update: According to The Major, there are some issues regarding Matchmaking with the new Stimulus Package.
Here’s the tweet: “Matchmaking is in a bad state on Xbox LIVE right now. We’re working on it and will resolve it as quickly as we can”.
Not a good day for MW2 players so far, apparently.
Original: The Major has just tweeted that the Modern Warfare 2 title update is now live, so get to downloading your Stimulus Package, soldiers.
According to the tweet, It may take a few minutes for everyone worldwide to get it, or for it to work properly. Once things get in order all should be fine.
Earlier today when the DLC went live, the title update kept folks from playing the Map Pack, so hopefully the fix will work for everyone.
If you don’t see it as available, you can try refreshing your HDD’s cache.
The pack contains five maps: Bailout, Salvage, Storm, and classic maps Crash and Overgrown.
PC and PS3 will get the DLC a month later.

This guy said that if Sony called he would license Xbox Live to them now he had tongue firmly in cheek when he said it like but could it ever happen?

Not only COULD it happen, it WILL happen. Microsoft are definitely going to license Xbox Live to Sony – Duke Nukem Forever is going to be a PS3-exclusive game on demand on day one.

It’s been an hour and connection to XBox Live servers has not been restored. They fixed one problem and created another. The maps themselves are now playable ( . . . new maps are garbage by the way!) but what’s the point if you can’t find a game play?!

Sigh…good lord. First they fuck people over with ridiculous prices, and as if the game’s not full of
problems already, they even manage to mess this up.
This is the worst kind of fuckery you can think of. And
the maps aren’t even that great? nah, there ain’t bigger fuckery.
