Gene Simmons to be the “voice” of Guitar Hero 6

genesimmons

Kiss singer Gene Simmons, speaking to GameOn, has confirmed he’s to appear as the “voice” of Guitar Hero 6.

The frontman dropped the local nuke in this video. Watch from about a minute onwards.

Activision has said on several occasions that a new Guitar Hero will launch later this year, one of only two music games from the publisher in 2010. The other one’s DJ Hero 2.

While there hasn’t actually been a Guitar Hero 6 press release, Red Octane founder Kai Huang has openly talked about the product, saying the company is currently researching how future Guitar Hero iterations will work with motion controllers, and the like.

Thanks, Fred.

Bit harsh, Guitar hero 5 was easily the best GH game neversoft have made and contained a fair few features that would be good in the next rock band.

It had some nice little ideas yes, but Guitar Hero’s core gameplay is horrible compared to Rock Band, and lacks any of that games subtelty in it’s mechanics.
