Sonic 4 Ep II casting to “please” fans

Sega’s Takashi Iizuka has hinted that Episode II of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 could expand beyond the llittle blue man himself. Or not. Who knows?

Speaking in the latest issue of Game Informer, Iizuka said: “Fans will be very pleased with the cast in Episode 2.”

He also said that the upcoming Episode I will be a prologue to the main story for the rest of the title, further adding that the game was split into episodes to fit on smaller memory units, such as Wii.

The first episode is due this summer on PSN, Xbox Live and WiiWare. It could be out as early as July, and might be on iPhone too.

i didn’t really enjoy playing as knuckles in the old 2d games, he came into his own when the franchise went 3d on dreamcast, but the gliding and climbing walls just didn’t suit the 2d levels specifically crafted for sonic imo

now if they crafted specific levels for knuckles, thats a different matter

taken from that Sonic Stadium article, its news to me:

Moves include: Spin Dash, Rolling Attack, homing attack and a new move yet unknown

Hurrah for the spin dash! and having a homing attack will make this quite a different experience to the original games

but a new move? i can’t begin to imagine what this could be, maybe they’re gonna give sonic the ability to swim

Where in the whole thing did they even say there would be “more characters”? There will probably be short cameos by staple characters like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, etc., but that’s about it.

By more characters I don’t just mean new ones I mean anyone BUT sonic. If we don’t play as them then yeah it could be okay but if we do =(

I wouldn’t complain about playing as Knuckles or Tails again. Heck, even Shadow in 2D might be cool. Just as long as that’s it.
