Capcom wants to see Street Fighter IV on PSP

Capcom has said it wants to see Street Fighter IV on PSP sometime soon.
The firm’s Natsuki Shiozawa said she and other people in the development team of SF would like to see the game appear on the portable platform.
Last night, Capcom revealed it was bringing the fighter to iPhone and iPod Touch next month. So this may just happen; if anything, at some point.
Meanwhile, the development team is currently working on polishing Super Street Fighter IV, which is due out at the end of April for PS3 and 360.

Makes alot more sense then an Iphone version. It’ll actually be playable for a start.

“Capcom wants 55 million people to develop arthritis of the thumb.”
Fixed.
Definitely more stoked for this than an iPhone version though. Fireball uppercuts on a virtual D-pad? No thanks.

I hope they don’t forget about those poor Wii owners. Capcom could always take the iPhone version and downgrade the graphics somewhat so that the Wii is actually able to handle it, add waggle support (waggle up for dragon punch, waggle sort of sideways a bit for fireball) and presto happy Wii fans. Maybe even add some family-friendly mini-games to really appeal to the Wii demographic.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is on Wii. And it uses no motion control just as a fighting game like these should.

Without trying to sound like a troll, but how well do PSP games actually sell? Even piracy aside? Would the time and effort to develop SSIV for the platform do well?

In Japan it’s like one of the most popular consoles at the moment so yeah it would be profitable. I have no idea what they put in the water over there to make all the Japanese people prefer DS and PSP to 360 and PS3. It’s madness, I tells ya!
