6-on-6 Metal Gear Online tournament announced by Konami

Konami’s announced it’s holding a six-on-six tournament for Metal Gear Online.
The competition will see a preliminary round, where teams of six are invited to submit for the competition. Make it through the provisional stages and you get into the main event.
The winning team of the overall tournament will win MGS4 Edition Astro Audio systems. Runner-ups win Astro Gaming Backpack Scouts, with the third placed team getting a Mission Astro Gaming Bag, and all entrants getting MGO points to spend on the in-game shop.
It kicks off next Friday during the game’s weekly Survival weekend. Anyone wishing to enter can do so here.

METAL GEAR ONLINE: Six-Vs-Six ‘Official European Championship 2010′ announced
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced a new ‘Six-Vs-Six’ METAL GEAR ONLINE tournament will begin on February 26th.
Overseen on Konami’s behalf by online specialists my-liga.com, entry to the competition is absolutely free, with a wealth of coveted Metal Gear Solid prizes to be won. Teams of six players are invited to submit a squad for the eight preliminary stages, with each stage hosting eight teams. Eight of the best teams will then be selected to play a series of elimination bouts, with the winners scooping top-of-the-range pro-gaming equipment, courtesy of Astro Gaming.
The prizes include MGS4 Edition Astro Audio systems for the six winning team members, with the second place team winning Astro gaming Backpack Scouts.
Third place will earn an Astro Gaming Bag ‘Mission’, with all entrants receiving Reward Points redeemable in the MGO store.
The tournament will start at 7pm UTC on February 26th, with the other preliminary rounds taking place every few days. To register, European players should simply visit http://mgo4euro.my-liga.com/.

Never played this online, thanks to Konami’s ass awful separate log in system. An infuriating system and for what, so they can net in a few more e-mail addresses to spam people with. :/ Poor show.

The Konami ID system is absolutely fucking rubbish.
But that aside, MGO’s a good online game, although only the hardcore play it now probably.
I used to be one of them back a million years ago in my old community forum days.

Other then the lame Konami ID and region locked servers there were a few other thing i didnt like about it; Like weapon damage being to low on anything but sniper rifles unless you did headshots, or the fact that being pushed up against a wall and aiming around corners was slowed down to make more sense for the Octocammo but its way to slow for fast action in MP.
